We are proud to highlight the collaboration spearheaded by Mr. Eloy Garza, a distinguished marketing lecturer at UTRGV – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship.

Mr. Garza’s visionary initiative, the Career Bridge platform, serves as a conduit for bridging academia and industry, facilitating real-world experiences for students within the business community.

Through this innovative partnership, students are afforded the opportunity to immerse themselves in practical marketing campaigns, fostering invaluable skills, essential for their professional journey.

Under Mr. Garza’s guidance, students engage in hands-on experiences, equipping them with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of the business landscape.

The focal point of this collaboration between the Xolat Marketing Team and McAllen EDC was the development of a comprehensive proposal for an international marketing campaign. This campaign seeks to entice Mexican companies to consider expanding their operations to McAllen, thus contributing to the region’s economic growth and vitality.

We commend Mr. Eloy Garza and all stakeholders involved for their dedication to empowering students and fostering meaningful connections between academia and industry. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to providing students with the tools and experiences necessary to excel in their future careers.

It was really amazing to see how education and mentorship have played a crucial role in shaping these students’ skills and values. Congratulations to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, to Professor Eloy Garza, Susie Flores from McAllen EDC, but especially to Karla, Regina, Melanie and Susana for really caring about this project, and going above and beyond our expectations.
