Overpass bridge in McAllen to close for maintenance work

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An overpass bridge in McAllen will be fully closed for maintenance.

The overpass bridge on 2nd Street/South Col. Rowe Boulevard will be temporarily closed starting Wednesday night.

Crews with the Texas Department of Transportation will begin maintenance work at 9 p.m. Wednesday and continue until 6 a.m. Thursday.

All the northbound and southbound overpass travel lanes will be closed until maintenance work is complete.

Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes and plan ahead.
