RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Early voting for multiple local elections across the Rio Grande Valley began Monday and will run through Friday, Oct. 31.
The total number of ballots cast on the first day of early voting in Cameron County is 849.
Cameron County has a total of 21 polling locations, and 191 votes were cast at the Brownsville Public Library. The Los Fresnos Community Center had 115 voters.
The total number of ballots cast on the first day of early voting in Hidalgo County is 2,156.
With 29 polling locations in Hidalgo, 667 votes were cast at the Elections Annex Building. Both the Sgt. Fernando De la Rosa library and Sgt. Rodriguez Community Center had over 180 voters.
Early voting will run through Nov. 1. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4.
