Organizations unite for spring activities emphasizing wellness

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Cameron County Drainage District No. 1, Driscoll Health Plan, and the Brownsville Police Officers Association are hosting a free outdoor wellness event.

Representatives from the three organizations invite the public to the Ernesto Gamez Cascade Park on April 26 and 27. The event includes a fishing tournament for kids, with gear and raffles provided, and basic fishing skills taught by Driscoll Health Plan.

The event aims to promote family time, environmental education, and community engagement. Attendees are encouraged to follow the event on social media and the website for updates.

The Brownsville Police Department will also be present, emphasizing family relationships.
