NBC23 and CBS4 honored with two TBNA awards

AUSTIN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — NBC23 and CBS4 were recognized with two awards Saturday night at the Texas Broadcasting News Awards ceremony in Austin.

The station was nominated in seven categories.

NBC23 and CBS4 won the award for Sports Special for its Beyond the Sidelines.

The Valley Sports Team special was produced by sports director Ruben Juarez, reporters Blake Holland and Sam Radadi, and chief photographer Gerardo Salinas.

The station also took home the award for Multimedia/Digital Storytelling: Remembering the 21, hosted by CBS 4 News morning anchor Marco Ramirez and written by  ValleyCentral digital content producer Gabriela Gonzalez.

The station was also nominated for the following:
