National Night Out celebrations in Rio Grande Valley

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Across the Valley, National Night Out celebrations are taking place to honor law enforcement.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office is hosting its annual National Night Out festivities from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday next to the Walmart Supercenter located at 1705 Expressway 83 in Penitas.

On South Padre Island, the SPI Police Department is inviting the community to celebrate its annual National Night Out celebration from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Isaldn Baptist Church parking lot, located at 107 W. Mesquite St.

Lastly, the Cameron County Sheriff's Office is celebrating its annual National Night Out event starting at 6 p.m. at its Cameron County Harlingen Annex building located at 3302 Wilson Road.

The events are free and family-friendly, where attendees can enjoy kiddie games, live music, food and fun.
