MXLAN returns to McAllen this weekend

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — MXLAN, a three-day-long arts and culture festival, is returning to McAllen this weekend.

Guests can expect a weekend lineup of live music and dance performances, an artisan and food market, art workshops, lucha libre and more.

"It is important that the young generations know where we come from in our roots, and we can embrace them and celebrate them in the Rio Grande Valley," Tanya, an artist involved with MXLAN, told ValleyCentral.

Local VA clinics to host free food drive for Veterans

The annual event will kick off Friday, May 9, and resume through Sunday, May 11.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. each day.

Friday will be open to the public at no cost.

General admission will be $10 for adults on Saturday and Sunday. Kids enter for free all weekend long.
