Multiple agencies responding to barricade situation in Starr County

RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Multiple law enforcement agencies are responding to a person who is barricaded inside a Rio Grande City residence.

According to the Starr County Sheriff's Office, the person is barricaded in the area of Pete Solis Road, behind a Circle 7 Express convenience store.

Law enforcement have not provided details on if the person who is barricaded is carrying any weapons.

Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area at the time.
