BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers say they seized over $70,000 in cash on Thursday.

On May 21, CBP officers at the Brownsville and Matamoros International Bridge referred a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a secondary inspection.

During the inspection, officers say they found stacks of unreported bulk cash hidden under the clothing of the passengers, including the two men who are U.S. citizens, ages 20 to 21, according to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

The stacks of money totaled $74,103.
