MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than $1 million worth in methamphetamine at the Anzalduas International Bridge.
CBP officers seize more than $1M in Meth at Anzalduas International Bridge. Photo courtesy of U.S. Customs and Border ProtectionOn Oct. 27, a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup attempting to cross to the U.S. was sent for further inspection, where CBP officers used nonintrusive equipment.
During a physical inspection, 76 packages of alleged meth with a combined weight of 115.74 pounds were found concealed within the vehicle.
Homeland Security Investigations special agents arrested the driver, who was not identified by CBP.
A criminal investigation has been initiated.
