More storms for the RGV overnight tonight

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The chance for rain and thunderstorms will repeat itself again late overnight tonight.

A storm system is moving across northeast Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley right now.

This area of low pressure will push unstable weather conditions across the region overnight.

Some thunderstorms may become strong and even severe generating strong winds, frequent lightning, hail, and heavy rain.

Areas west of Mission and McAllen stand to experience the strongest storms.

The timeline for the most aggressive storms looks to between 1 am and 5 am Sunday morning.
