Mission's first Olive Garden to open this month

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Mission city officials are inviting Italian food lovers to the grand opening of its first Olive Garden location.

The casual dining, Italian-inspired food chain features classic food items including pastas, breadsticks, soups and salads.

The Mission Economic Development Corporation first announced the restaurant project last May and began construction in October.

A grand opening ceremony for the city's first Olive Garden will commence at 10 a.m., Monday July 22.

The new location is located on 1405 E. Expressway 83 in Mission.

It is the seventh Olive Garden location in the Rio Grande Valley.
