Mission CISD celebrates young cancer survivors before game

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) —  The Mission Consolidated Independent School District, alongside the Greater Gold Foundation, is honoring childhood cancer survivors and raising awareness during the Go Gold Mission High School pre-game program.

The event is taking place during the pre-game program at the Mission High School vs. McAllen Memorial football game at the Tom Landry Stadium.

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Mission CISD and the Greater Gold Foundation are honoring 10 Mission CISD students who survived childhood cancer.

Additionally, the district will also honor those who have lost the fight against childhood cancer.
