Missing man found dead in Edinburg canal

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man who was last seen on Wednesday was found dead in a canal, according to the City of Edinburg.

The city says the man was reported missing earlier in the day on Friday and was found later that afternoon on the 2600 block of W. Sprague Rd.

According to a spokesperson from the city of Edinburg, there are no signs of foul play at this time.

Preliminary information suggests the man may have suffered from a medical condition.

An investigation is ongoing.
