PROGRESO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Military Highway Water Supply Corporation (MHWSC) rescinded the boil water notice for Progreso and Progreso Lakes on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, MHWSC issued the notice due to a phase monitor at a nearby water plant that failed on Monday, according to a news release.
MHWSC said it has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water used for drinking water or human consumption as per TCEQ standards.
In addition, laboratory test results indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of May 21, 2025, said the news release.
