McAllen Veterans Affairs Clinic to host blood drive

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The McAllen Veterans Affairs Clinic is partnering with Vitalant Blood Center to host a blood drive this month.

"We are a proud member of the Rio Grande Valley community and are dedicated to meeting the continuous need for blood and blood products," said Public Affairs Officer Hugo Martinez.

The blood drive will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 19, at the McAllen VA Clinic located on E. Hackberry Ave.

Any form of identification is required to donate blood.

Registration for the upcoming blood drive is now open to the public.

"We encourage Veterans, their family members, and all community members to take the time to donate blood," Martinez continued.
