McAllen Police respond to disturbance near airport, flights delayed

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — McAllen Police confirm a disturbance near Wichita and Main Street.

According to police, multiple agencies have responded, and it is an active crime scene.

As a result, the McAllen International Airport has delayed all flights. Vehicles and passengers will not be permitted to enter the terminal or parking lot, according to a city spokesperson.

KVEO Digital Anchor Rudy Mireles reports that all of Wichita Street along La Plaza Mall is closed. In addition, the mall parking lot by Logan's Roadhouse has been blocked off by police.

McAllen Police and the FBI are the lead investigators in this case.
