McAllen police: Driver found dead inside cab of 18-wheeler

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An investigation is underway after a delivery driver was found dead inside an 18-wheeler truck in McAllen.

McAllen police responded to the 2700 block of Frontage Road at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday regarding a welfare check on a delivery driver.

Greg Alan Franklin, a 57-year-old resident of Silver Springs, Florida, was found unresponsive inside the cab of the truck.

Responding officers determined Franklin died inside the truck with no foul play suspected.

According to police, Franklin appeared to be awaiting delivery of cargo in the general area in which he was parked.

A cause of death has not been determined as the investigation is underway.
