MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A McAllen resident has been sentenced to prison in connection with shipping packages of cocaine by postal mail.

Narciso Dominguez III, 26, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

In May 2024, authorities observed Dominguez purchasing shipping materials and surveilling stash houses in McAllen before he was pulled over during a traffic stop.

During the traffic stop, authorities discovered 95 pounds of cocaine in his vehicle.

A search of a McAllen residence led to the seizure of over 500 pounds of cocaine stashed in a house.

Dominguez admitted to authorities that he was mailing about 220 pounds of cocaine a day across the United States.

Dominguez was ordered to serve 10 years in prison with five years of supervised release for his involvement in the drug trafficking scheme.
