McAllen ISD Summer Meals Program in full swing

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The McAllen Independent School District is partnering with the Texas Department of Agriculture to provide free and nutritious meals to children this summer.

McAllen ISD launched the summer meals program in early June, opening meal sites at schools and community centers for children ages 1 to 18.

The program also includes Meals on Wheels routes where McAllen ISD buses park in selected neighborhoods and feed children in those areas.

All available meal sites, dates, and times are listed below.

Children are not required to be enrolled in McAllen ISD to receive free meals.

The summer meal program will continue through July 31.
