McAllen Fire Department gets new Firefighter Training Facility

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the City of McAllen Fire Department Firefighter Training Facility.

The Firefighter Training Facility is located in the same spot that the McAllen Fire Department currently has its Firefighter Training Tower, training equipment, props and accessories.

The facility is on 14.5 acres. It is equipped with a large tiered seating classroom for meetings and trainings, a lobby, restrooms with showers, administrative offices and conference rooms. The facility also includes accessible parking for staff.

The total cost of the McAllen Firefighter Training Facility is $4,642,700.
