McAllen bridge over I-2 to be closed tonight

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The bridge over Interstate 2 in McAllen will close for maintenance Wednesday.

From 9 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday the 2nd Street (S. Col. Rowe Blvd.) bridge over Interstate 2 (I-2) in McAllen will be closed.

The Texas Department of Transportation says this is a full closure for all northbound and southbound travel lanes on the overpass only.

Crews will be finalizing repairs that were initiated during last week's closure.

Drivers are being asked to plan ahead and seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
