Mariposa Gala: Annual fundraiser for Children's Bereavement Center

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Children's Bereavement Center of the Rio Grande Valley is hosting its 2025 Mariposa Gala: Une Soirée d’Espoir (A Night of Hope).

The annual fundraiser is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Palacio de Destinee in Weslaco, to support grieving children and families in the Valley.

The event includes the Valley Symphony Orchestra, a silent auction, and a raffle for a $300 bottle of French wine.

The center offers individual and group counseling for children ages 3 to 24, tailored to their developmental needs.

Proceeds from the gala will help continue their mission and celebrate the community's support. Registration is still open via their website or social media.
