BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two people believed to be connected to what Oklahoma authorities are calling a suspicious death were arrested in Brownsville.

Cameron County jail records show that John Arredondo, 29, and Jordan Arredondo, 31, were booked on charges of desecration of a human corpse. However, Oklahoma state authorities say official charges for the duo in the ongoing investigation will be determined by the Garfield County District Attorney's Office.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says that John and Jordan are linked to the death of 43-year-old Theresia Myers.

A report from Nexstar's KFOR Oklahoma station states that Myers' body was located earlier this month, about 10 miles southeast of Enid.

Texas Rangers arrested John and Jordan in Brownsville.

John and Jordan were booked into Cameron County jail on Oct. 20, jail records show.

The case remains under investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
