Man with child indecency warrants out of Kansas arrested at Brownsville border

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man who was wanted on a felony warrant for two counts of indecent liberties with a child has been detained at the Brownsville border.

Mark Anthony Renteria, 25, is a resident of San Benito attempted to cross back into the United States Friday at the Gateway International Bridge driving a 2016 GMC.

Authorities at the bridge quickly directed Renteria to a secondary inspection where they discovered he had an outstanding felony warrant for two counts of indecent liberties with a child out of Saline County Sheriff's Office in Salina, Kansas.

CBP officers confirmed the warrant was still active and turned Renteria over to the custody of the Cameron County Sheriff's Office.
