Man wanted out of Dallas area arrested in Brownsville for solicitation of minor

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man wanted in Dallas County for online solicitation of a minor was apprehended at a Brownsville port of entry.

Gerardo Zubiri Perez, 71, was apprehended Monday at the Gateway International Bridge after an inspection revealed the outstanding warrant.

Perez is a Mexican citizen.

"This apprehension illustrates CBP’s commitment to its border security mission and to keeping our communities safe," said Port Director Tater Ortiz, Brownsville Port of Entry.

Perez is currently being held at a Cameron County facility.
