Man wanted for burglary surrenders to McAllen police

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man wanted in connection with a home burglary in McAllen surrendered to police on Monday.

On April 3, McAllen police received a report of a burglary at a residence located at the 3000 block of Business 83.

According to a release from the McAllen Police Department, the reported detailed that two men wearing ski masks entered the home with firearms and demanded money from the victims.

One of the suspects, identified as Jose Maria Mendoza, 26, turned himself over to authorities and awaits a formal arraignment for first-degree burglary of habitation.

Police said a second man is at large and are searching for him.
