Man to be arraigned following fatal San Juan crash

SAN JUAN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning in connection to a fatal San Juan road rage incident, according to police.

Authorities responded to the fatal crash Tuesday evening near the intersection of Raul Longoria Road and West FM 495 in San Juan.

It was believed racing played a factor that led to the crash but further investigation revealed the crash was a result of a road rage incident involving a third vehicle that fled the scene.

Police say the third vehicle played a "significant role" in the fatal incident.

The unnamed man in the third vehicle is scheduled to be arraigned at 11:30 a.m. at the San Juan Municipal Court, located on 2301 N. Raul Longoria Rd.

The San Juan Municipal Court is approximately 1.2 miles away from the fatal crash site.
