Man shot to death in rural Mission, shooter in custody says sheriff

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Hidalgo County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call of a man with a gunshot wound, according to an X post from Sheriff Eddie Guerra.

The post said at around 3:53 a.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to the 5700 block of N. Doffing Rd. in rural Mission.

EMS confirmed the man's death. The suspected shooter is in custody and an investigation is underway, said the sheriff.
