Man pleads guilty to fatal 2022 neck stabbing

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man who was initially charged with murder in a neck stabbing case has plead guilty to a lesser charge, records show.

An indictment states Eric Salinas Quintero was charged in the killing of 21-year-old Victor Manuel Hernandez.

On July 10, 2022, Hernandez was stabbed in the neck and leg area at the 6000 block of Danubio Court. He died at Valley Regional Medical Center a day after the stabbing.

Today, Quintero plead guilty to a lesser charge of criminal negligent homicide, which is a state jail felony.

He is well known in the community by his family’s TikTok page @artesol956 which has over 1M followers.

Quintero is scheduled to be sentenced at 8:30 a.m. on May 15.
