Man dead after vehicle strikes deer in Starr County, DPS says

STARR COUNTY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man is dead after a vehicle struck a deer in Starr County, authorities said.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at 7:31 a.m. Thursday.

DPS stated the vehicle struck a deer near the intersection of FM 2686 and FM649. The driver of the vehicle, who was described as a man in his 30s, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
