BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man was taken into custody after posting a threat on social media allegedly threatening to kill officers, Brownsville police announced.
Joseph Lee Martinez, 32, is charged with a terroristic threat against peace officers.

On Saturday, Brownsville police worked alongside the U.S. Marshals and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to arrest Martinez.
According to a news release from the Brownsville Police Department, information was received from the U.S. Marshals Intelligence Headquarters regarding a threat posted on "X." In the post, Martinez referenced Brownsville PD and threatened to "kill officers."
Martinez was arraigned on Sunday and was issued a bond of $20,000.
