Man accused of stalking, assault, wanted by McAllen police

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — McAllen police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man wanted for stalking and assault.

Authorities are investigating a domestic dispute that occurred on July 26 at a residence at the 4100 block of Galveston Avenue involving a victim and Osiel Hernandez, according to a news release from McAllen PD.

According to the report, Hernandez made multiple attempts to enter the residence, which caused the victim to fear for their safety.

Stalking suspect at large in McAllen, tips solicited

During one of those incidents, police say, Hernandez assaulted the victim.

The McAllen Municipal Court has issued an arrest warrant against Hernandez on charges of stalking and assault, both third-degree felonies.

Hernandez is described as a 29-year-old man who weighs approximately 145 pounds, is about 5'07" tall, and has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is in McAllen.
