Man accused of shooting at cars in Brownsville with BB gun

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man was taken into custody for allegedly shooting at vehicles, authorities say.

Glenn Thomas McQuay, 68, was charged with resisting arrest, resisting transport, and deadly conduct, according to a news release from the Brownsville Police Department.

At approximately 10:24 a.m., authorities responded to multiple calls from concerned citizens. The callers said the man was seen carrying a firearm and shooting at vehicles in the area of Nafta Parkway and FM 511.

Authorities responded to the area and were on the lookout for the described suspect and vehicle involved.

Moments later, the responding officers located the vehicle involved at an apartment complex, located at 2200 N. Minnesota Avenue, where they arrested 60-year-old McQuay.

A BB gun was recovered and seized. Authorities say no injuries were reported.
