Major single vehicle crash reported near La Feria, traffic delayed

LA FERIA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a major single-vehicle crash near La Feria on the expressway.

Authorities responded at approximately 5:10 p.m. to a single crash on the Westbound lanes of Expressway 83 near the Bass Blvd. exit.

The Harlingen Police Department was called to the scene to assist with traffic. Our ValleyCentral crews were on the scene where they saw two body bags at the location.

Traffic is majorly backed up and authorities say that the entrance ramps have been closed off.
