M. Rivas Discovery Academy wins H-E-B Excellence in Education Award

DONNA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Donna Independent School District announced its M. Rivas Primary Discovery Academy was named the H-E-B Excellence in Education Early Childhood Award Winner.

The district's news release said the announcement was made Sunday at the annual H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards Ceremony in Houston.

M. Rivas stood above five early childhood program finalists from across the state. They claimed the top prize and a $25,000 award to further strengthen the early childhood programs, according to the district.

The district said the recognition is a celebration of the exceptional work happening at M. Rivas. They give high praise to Principal Rosalinda Navarro and her dedicated team have cultivated a nurturing environment where young learners thrive.
