LOS FRESNOS, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A vehicle fire turned into a structure fire, according to the Los Fresnos Volunteer Fire Department.
At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Monday, Los Fresnos firefighters responded to a vehicle fire in rural Cameron County, according to a social media post from the department.

At the scene, the initial fire had upgraded to a structure fire, due to the carport being engulfed in flames and the fire extended to the adjacent home, the post stated.
A total of three engines, three tankers and one brush company responded to the fire.
The fire was extinguished, preventing the fire from extending into the home, fire officials say. No injuries were reported.
