HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The chance for rain is coming to the Valley and it is expected to settle in for several days. It won't rain all day, but it should rain every day.
Tropical moisture will continue to build in over the Rio Grande Valley for several days, providing fuel for rain development, while low pressure in the region will help to convert all that moisture into rain.

The same process, converting the tropical moisture into rainfall, will also kick up a few thunderstorms. Any thunderstorm activity is forecast to remain moderate.
The weekend forecast looks a bit dicey. Saturday there's a 50% for rain and rumbles while Sunday does offer a bit of hope with only a 30% chance.

When the rain is finally finished, later next week, many areas across the Valley should see an inch or two. However, three to four inches of total accumulation cannot be ruled out.
