Lockdown in place at Dr. Rodriguez Elementary School in Harlingen

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District campus is on lockdown, according to district officials.

On Friday morning, the Dr. Rodriguez Elementary School STEM Academy, located at 8402 Wilson Road in Harlingen, announced a lockdown.

The Harlingen Police Department is parked in front of the campus.

ValleyCentral reached out to Harlingen PD regarding the lockdown, but has yet to receive a response.

Harlingen CISD stated that it is gathering information to release to the public on this matter.
