Local vendors prep for Easter weekend

RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Easter is on Sunday and local vendors are prepping for the holiday.

Vendors can be found set up in various locations throughout the Valley selling confetti-filled eggs, candy and piñatas in preparation for Easter.

One local vendor, Cynthia Cantu says she sets up every year to make kids smile.

"The kids love to stop by and the parents are going like, "no no we'll get it later" and the kids want a certain color of a piñata or certain color of eggs, that's why we have them all spread out so they can pick what they want," said Cantu.

Despite the strong winds, Cantu says her business has been booming.
