MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — One hair salon in McAllen is making sure its tiniest clients feel comfortable during their cuts.

In observance of Autism Acceptance Month, ValleyCentral is highlighting a local woman who ensures all her clients with sensory sensitivity feel at ease during a hair cut.

Alejandra Navez, stylist and creator of Happy Place Cuts, does her best to make the children she attends to have a great hair cut experience.

Navez says it does not matter how long a cut takes, she is willing to take breaks to ensure children have adequate time to calm down if they feel overstimulated.

When you walk into her shop you will find plenty of kid-friendly décor and toys used to distract children before and after their cuts.
