ValleyCentral reached out to U.S. Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34), who provided the following statement.

"Our military’s actions have stopped Iran’s goal of creating a nuclear weapon. Israelis and the free world can now rest easier. Lasting stability, peace, and the safety of our service members in the region must be our number one priority. I also urge President Trump to consult with Congress for any further military action, as is our constitutional authority,” said Congressman Gonzalez.

U.S. Representative District 15, Monica De La Cruz, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to post the following statement:

"Tonight, President Trump spoke with strength. Iran was given every opportunity to come to the table to make a deal on their nuclear capabilities, yet refused. I remain confident in the Administration’s commitment to protecting democracy, the American people, our national security, and our allies," said Representative Monica De La Cruz.

The Hidalgo County GOP Chairman, Robert Cantu, spoke with ValleyCentral and said "President Trump has said repeatedly that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. Tonight he fulfilled that promise. The world is safer tonight because we have a Commander in Chief who will not let a terrorist nation like Iran have a nuclear weapon. Hopefully Iran realizes Trump is serious and sues for peace."
