BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — President Joe Biden is arriving to Brownsville in Air Force One.
Biden arrived in the customized Boeing 747-200B aircraft, regarded as one of the most recognizable symbols of the presidency. The plane features an office, conference room and operating room with a doctor permanently on board. According to the White House, the plane has "unlimited range," as its capable of refueling midair.
During his trip to Brownsville, President Biden will address border security funding solutions with local officials, Border Patrol and law enforcement, according to a release from the Texas Democrats.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Monday that Biden will discuss the "urgent need" to pass a bipartisan border security agreement, calling it the "toughest and fairest set of reforms" to secure the border in decades.
While Biden meets with officials at the southernmost tip of Texas, former President Donald Trump is also paying a visit to the Texas border, approximately 300 miles away in Eagle Pass.
