Lane closures on Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway until May

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Lanes closures are expected on the Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway due to a three-week maintenance project, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

Drivers traveling on the Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway to and from South Padre Island can expect daily lane closures starting April 11 through May 3.

Maintenance work will be done daily under the bridge deck from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The single-lane closures will be done in small segments and not for the entire length of the Causeway, TxDOT adds.
