Laguna Madre Water District water line connection may cause outages

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Laguna Madre Water District (LMWD) is connecting a section of a new 6-inch water line on E. Cora Lee Drive on Wednesday in South Padre Island.

Additionally, the LMWD is shutting down the water system for an extended period of time, and some areas will possibly be experiencing low water pressure or no water at all, according to the news release.

The affected areas will be from East Morningside Drive and East Cora Lee Drive, from Padre Boulevard to Gulf Boulevard.
