Lacks Furniture donates mattresses to support flood victims

MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Lacks Furniture is donating mattresses to families impacted by floods across the region.

The Valley-owned furniture store will donate 200 queen-size mattresses to assist the South Texas community.

"We know the importance of having a safe place to rest. Providing these mattresses is one way we can help families regain some comfort and security after the hardship they’ve endured," said Seth Aaronson, CEO at Lacks Furniture.

Affected residents can apply for a free mattress by completing an application.

Lacks will randomly select 200 recipients from the pool of applicants.

Those selected will receive a voucher by email with instructions on the mattress pickup.

The deadline for applications is Monday, April 14.
