La Joya PD takes suspect into custody for terroristic threat

LA JOYA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man was taken into custody following multiple calls to 911, according to a news release from the La Joya Police Department.

At approximately 10:25 p.m., on Thursday, July 3, La Joya PD responded to multiple 911 calls at a residence.

At the scene, authorities confirmed there were no emergency calls to the location; however, when police spoke to the man, they later found he had an active warrant, the release stated.

Carlos Rodrigo Esquivel was arrested for terroristic threat causing fear of imminent serious bodily injury, a class B misdemeanor.
