LA JOYA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The La Joya Independent School District is offering a four-week STEM camp for elementary students to join during the summer.

From 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, students can enjoy STEM activities, robotics, and culinary classes at La Joya's elementary campuses.

"They really enjoy it because they look forward to every day, we always have something new for them. They get to work in groups, interact, and we have a culinary activity at the end of the week, which includes food, and they get to share. They get to talk about what they did," said Mabel Flores, 4th-grade teacher at Tabasco Elementary School.

"Come and have fun and learn at the same time."

Breakfast and lunch are provided along with transportation.
