The Facebook post also contained pictures and video of the dog with a graphic wound to its face.
Additionally, ValleyCentral spoke with the Chief Operating Officer from Yaqui Animal Rescue, who shared that they have taken over the medical treatment for Cane, the animal involved, and are also paying the expenses.
Yaqui Animal Rescue is posting Cane's medical updates on their Facebook page.
"Cane’s story is still unfolding. He will require days of hospitalization, and his recovery will be lengthy and costly. We truly need the community’s help — whether by donating, sharing his story, or simply sending prayers — to give Cane a chance at the life he deserves." Yaqui Animal Rescue stated on their Facebook post.
