Knapp Foundation gifts $500K to Driscoll Children's Hospital

EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Driscoll Children's Hospital Rio Grande Valley on Tuesday announced a donation of $500,000 from the Knapp Community Care Foundation.

The donation, combined with a dollar-for-dollar match from the Driscoll Children's Hospital Development Foundation, will total $1 million and establish the Mid-Valley Pediatric Assistance Endowment.

The endowment will help Mid-Valley pediatric patients and their families by easing the financial burden of travel, accommodations, and medication expenses.
